  22. Clean It is a simple, easy to use application that is designed
  23. to remove temporary Internet and System files from your computer.

  29. As you browse the Internet temporary files are downloaded to your
  30. computer so that the browser may display the web page. Although
  31. removing these temp files is not really necessary it does have its
  32. advantages. For starters, it will ensure that you receive the
  33. latest copy of your favorite web pages. The second advantage is
  34. it will free your browser of the task at hand. This will not only
  35. increase it's performance, but it eliminate the dreaded hang time
  36. we all experience when it's time to clean up the cache.

  38. There are of course other considerations, such as cookies and
  39. your history file. Although these are vital while browsing, they
  40. are not really needed. You do not need to save your cookies to
  41. re-enter your bank the next day. If this were the case you would
  42. not be able to enter in the first place. As for your history file,
  43. do you want people to know where you've been? Do you even check
  44. it to see where you just were? The history file serves it purpose
  45. while browsing. It tells the browser what links you have selected
  46. so you can see them visually from the web page. If you visit the
  47. same sites everyday chances are these sites are updated everyday
  48. so there is no need to save a history file. If you visit different
  49. sites, then it has no purpose once you log off the Internet.

  51. Finally, there are temporary files placed on your system by the
  52. applications you run and from Windows itself. As these will build
  53. up over time, it's best to delete them on a regular basis. Once
  54. more, Windows also keeps a history file of the associated files
  55. you open - this is your recent document list that is under your
  56. Start menu. Although it's not really necessary to delete these
  57. small shortcuts, it's just the question of do you want people to
  58. know what you're doing?

  60. And of course a cleaning program would not be complete if it didn't
  61. take out the trash. The recycle bin does serve its purpose, but for
  62. the most part it's just taking up unnecessary disk space that we all
  63. need to download more utilities, games, and screen savers!
  64.  
  65. This is where Clean It comes. It will allow you to select and clean
  66. these files with a simple touch and go interface. On start up it
  67. will select all the areas that need to be cleaned, from there all
  68. you need to do is uncheck those areas that you really don't want
  69. to clean today and hit the clean button - that's it. Of course you
  70. can hide it in the system's tray if you get the urge to do some
  71. cleaning later.

  73. In closing I would like to say that Clean It does not do Windows
  74. like some other utilities, but it will take out the trash!
